We are the faces behind WestCoastWanderin!
2016 marked the first year of our WestCoastWanderin adventures. Joe and I (Christy) both love adventure and the outdoors and in Spring 2016 we planned what would be a two week road trip all over the beautiful province of British Columbia. Beginning in Vancouver, where we live, we started out heading north through Prince George, then east over to Dawson Creek to start the Alaska Highway. The Alaska Highway took us all the way into Watson Lake, Yukon, where we turned around and headed back down south. We made a mandatory stop in Stewart, BC, and Hyder, Alaska, to see some glaciers which was a huge check off our bucket lists. Finally making our way home, we arrived in Vancouver via Whistler, a welcoming sunset coming down the Sea to Sky Highway.
We can’t wait for the upcoming 2017 summer adventures. We plan to do more weekend trips with friends this year. We aim to stay off main roads as best we can, taking backroads and finding secluded, hidden gems for campsites.
